Rental, Reclamation & Damages Policy

Last updated: [Placeholder date] · Set this to your actual publish date, and update it only when this policy's content changes

1. Scope

This policy applies to every booking made through Hosted, whether a pre-curated Archive collection or an à la carte selection from the Material Library. By completing checkout, you agree to the terms below in addition to our general Terms of Service.

2. Ownership

All linens, ceramics, flatware, and glassware remain the property of Hosted at all times. Your booking grants temporary use of these items for your agreed event date only — it does not transfer ownership of any item.

3. Rental Period

[Placeholder — describe your standard rental window here, e.g. "Items are available for collection the day before your event and are due back the day after."] Any request to extend the rental period must be agreed in writing in advance.

4. Payment & Security Hold

A 20% deposit of your rental allocation is charged via PayPal at booking to reserve your date — this does not include the security hold. We confirm availability, typically within 2–3 business days, and email a secure PayPal link for the remaining balance, which includes your 20% security hold. If your date turns out to be unavailable, your deposit is refunded in full or applied to a different date, whichever you prefer. [Placeholder — state what happens if the remaining balance isn't paid within a reasonable window after we send the link, e.g. a specific number of days before the date is released back to other clients.] The security hold is refunded within 48 hours of reclamation (see Section 7), provided no damage, loss, or late return is found under Sections 8–9 below.

5. Delivery & Pickup

You may collect your order from our studio or arrange delivery for an additional fee, waived above our complimentary delivery threshold. Delivery and collection windows are confirmed directly with our coordination team ahead of your event.

6. Care During Your Event

Please handle all rented items with reasonable care. Items should not be cut, glued, painted, or otherwise permanently altered. Candles and open flame should be used with care around linens. [Placeholder — add any further care instructions specific to your inventory, e.g. dishwasher-safe items, hand-wash-only pieces, etc.]

7. Reclamation

"Reclamation" refers to Hosted collecting or receiving back your rented items once your event has ended, either by studio drop-off or scheduled collection. [Placeholder — describe how items should be prepared for return, e.g. "Please scrape food debris from ceramics and repack items in the crates provided."]

8. Inspection, Damage & Loss

Items are inspected within [Placeholder — e.g. "48 hours"] of reclamation. The reasonable cost of repair or replacement for any item found damaged, broken, or missing will be deducted from your security hold. Where this cost exceeds the security hold, you agree to pay the difference within [Placeholder — e.g. "7 days"] of notice. [Placeholder — describe how replacement value is determined, e.g. current studio replacement cost per item.]

9. Late Returns

[Placeholder — describe your late-return fee, e.g. "Items not reclaimed within the agreed window incur a daily late fee of ₪X per day."]

10. Cancellations

Under Israeli consumer protection law, online bookings may generally be cancelled within 14 days of purchase. Please see our separate Cancellation & Refund Policy for full details, including any fees that may apply and how this interacts with your security hold and deposit.

11. Limitation of Liability

[Placeholder — this section typically limits Hosted's liability for indirect losses (e.g. event disruption) beyond the value of the rental itself, but the right wording here depends on Israeli law and your insurance — please have this drafted or reviewed by counsel rather than relying on placeholder text.]
